U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility in Texas intercepted a shipment of vegetables on August 4, discovering 2,232 packages of alleged methamphetamine hidden inside, weighing 488 pounds with an estimated street value of $4.3 million. The drugs and vehicle were seized, with Homeland Security Investigations launching a probe into the matter.
