At the Calexico border crossing between the U.S. and Mexico, a 51-year-old driver was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers while attempting to smuggle over 2,000 pounds of methamphetamine, valued at approximately $4.3 million. The drugs were cleverly concealed within a tractor-trailer carrying Brussels sprouts. The seizure was made possible through a mix of officer intuition, advanced technology, and a narcotics detector dog.
