Officials confirmed on Friday that the body of a driver, whose tractor-trailer truck went over the side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, was recovered. The truck, owned by Keep It Moving 22, LLC, went overboard on the northbound bridge on Thursday afternoon.
The driver was identified as 36-year-old Christopher Scott from Henrico County, Virginia. Scott's body and the truck were both successfully recovered by a salvage crew on Friday afternoon. Scott, a father of three, tragically had a child born just hours after the crash.
The incident, marking at least the sixth such in recent years, is still under investigation.
