With a 43% out-of-service rate and several accidents in the past two years, safety concerns plagued the company. Affiliates like B.T. Transportation Group and JPL Transport also filed for liquidation.

The truck overturned and caught fire, leading to a 48-hour shutdown of the highway, a vital route between California and Las Vegas.
