Reddit Post of the Week
A post on r/FreightBrokers has some people raging after an alleged broker posted a load that had a questionable special request. In the load notes, the broker wanted the driver to be "Caucasian" and a "US Citizen."
Special requests are not uncommon, but given the racially motivated request from BeeMac Logistics has some people angered, though some are pointing the finger elsewhere.
One redditor said:
"I’ve had customers request this. I guarantee that this broker was just doing what his customer told him to do. And he is probably kind of new/inexperienced so."
Whereas another said:
"I'm white and speak English but I'm not picking up or delivering for someone like that."
Overall, the majority of people are not too pleased with this load request and though the original reddit poster wanted to leave "racism in 2026." It is universally known that racism will never have its way in the industry.

In this viral X post, the video shows clips of truck drivers who are overtaking other vehicles on small stretches of road. This issue is, the drivers are cross over or double yellows or single solid yellow, both of which are illegal.
In addition to this, and obviously, it a huge safety violation that is putting not only the truck driver, but other vehicles at risk.
Road safety continues to be a huge concern within the US, so everyone must continue to stay alert. And truck drivers must continue to obey traffic always at all cost.
FreightCaviar Story of the Week
FMCSA has put an emergency rule into effect that overhauls how states issue non-domiciled CDLs, following a nationwide review that uncovered widespread compliance failures. The new requirements restrict eligibility to certain visa holders, mandate repeated document checks, and tie license expiration directly to visa status. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy called the situation a “national emergency,” pointing to crashes linked to non-domiciled CDL holders and threatening states with funding cuts if they fail to comply.
With California singled out after investigators found more than one in four sampled licenses issued illegally, the rule could affect tens of thousands of drivers. For fleets and brokers, this means immediate compliance pressure, potential capacity swings, and operational friction around driver verification.

LinkedIn Post of the Week
A LinkedIn post gaining traction this week highlighted a federal sweep in Oklahoma that uncovered CDLs issued to undocumented immigrants under “No Name Given” licenses. The revelation has raised serious questions about oversight in driver credentialing at a time when trucking is already grappling with fraud, fake carriers, and mounting regulation. Charles G. warns that such lapses undermine the trust and accountability that the industry depends on, leaving compliant drivers and fleets frustrated and demanding stronger safeguards.
Critics like Danielle Chaffin have long called for action on a federal level to have remedy the lack in quality control in this matter.
