Meanwhile, Tesla Semi program Senior Manager Dan Priestley posted a short update on the buildout of the company's dedicated Semi facility.
Tesla is currently in the process of constructing a new facility whose main purpose is to produce electric semi-trucks at a higher volume. Expectations of the new factory are to be up and operational in 2025.
Tesla's electric semi-truck factory construction has reached several milestones, including the installation of panels in the northwest corner, the erection of additional steel beams, and the pouring of concrete flooring in the covered area.
Tesla has partnered with BZI, a Utah-based steel fabrication company renowned for its innovative construction techniques, to bring this ambitious project to life. BZI is employing state-of-the-art tools such as the transportable Panel Table system, the MezzMaster telehandler attachment for secure assembly holding, and the SkyBrace rigid-brace system, which enables cable-free construction. These cutting-edge methods are expected to enhance efficiency and precision throughout the building process.
