We sat down with Samir Burdzovic, Founder at Elysium Enterprise, a marketing agency for trucking companies. He discusses their new AI-powered driver recruitment platform, the importance of good branding, and more.
Welcome to another Tuesday Spotlight newsletter, featuring a break down of the latest episode of The FreightCaviar Podcast and a new Carrier of the Week.
You could say that diesel runs in Samir's blood. Coming from a family of truck drivers, he’s been immersed in the industry from a young age. Born in Serbia, he moved to the United States at the age of 21 to pursue a career in trucking.
In 2016, after spending some time on the road, he opened his first business as an owner-operator. While running his operation, he noticed a common problem. Many carriers struggled to effectively market themselves and lacked a structured recruiting system that often got lumped alongside the sales department. He also noticed that many of them didn't understand the power of branding and marketing, treating it as an afterthought instead of a critical part of a business strategy.
Motivated to help the industry, he closed his business and founded Elysium Enterprise, a marketing agency that specializes in social media and content creation for trucking companies. Recruiting only became part of their service by accident, as they organically began generating driver leads for their clients.
Today, Samir and his team are currently developing GetDrivers.ai, an AI-powered platform, where instead of advertising on multiple sites, it centralizes all your marketing needs in one place.
Samir’s message to the industry is simple: stop treating marketing as an afterthought. Start treating it as the investment your future depends on.
In This Episode, You’ll Discover:
From Truck Driver to Tech Innovator: How his app lets you track and measure performance and boost your chances of closing a lead by up to 400%.
Lead Gold Rush: WhySamir predicts trucking lead prices will skyrocket to $20–30 — a staggering 2400% surge that could reshape the industry.
The Enduring Power of Referrals: How a client with 450 trucks, growing to 650, relied solely on referrals for recruitment.
Here's what he had to say on the reality of trucking:
"Trucking is cool because when you’re working, you’re making crazy amounts of money, but when you’re not working, you’re losing a crazy amount of money. It’s a roller coaster that you need to know how to manage."
