Our guest today is Samir Burdzovic, Founder at Elysium Enterprise. We go behind the scenes of their newest platform designed to help trucking companies, his thoughts on AI, and much more.
Today we sit down with Samir Burdzovic, ex-truck driver turned tech founder, now leading GetDrivers.ai, a driver hiring and retention platform for trucking companies.
He shares how it evolved from a tool for his clients into an AI-powered recruiting platform, talks about his vision for the company, and why he believes AI can’t—and won’t—replace everything.

Last time we spoke with Samir, his platform was in development. Fast forward a few months, and GetDrivers.ai is live.
We caught up with him to learn how it's transforming the way trucking companies hire and retain drivers, and much more.
He initially built it for his clients, who he says often lacked a streamlined system of sales and struggled not only with hiring drivers but also with marketing themselves online, often spending ridiculous amounts of money in the process.
“With the companies that I serve, some of them spent $10-20,000 or even $50,000 a month on Facebook ads alone.”
Beyond sales and follow-up issues, there were also challenges with inaccurate data being entered by drivers in systems.
Thanks to GetDrivers.ai, companies can now track not only a driver’s performance, but also every single step of their journey.

They like to work with companies that already have an advertising budget- although Samir and his team handle marketing if a company doesn’t have someone in-house. A recruiting department, if not a few recruiters working at the company, is also necessary, he says.
Implementation of the system itself is pretty straightforward– it takes them 7-14 days to set up the system, when you decide you want to work with them. After that, you’re sent a questionnaire.
“We need some information from you. On top of that, your recruiter’s e-mails. We also do training where we explain the system and then set up the calls once a day, tracking what you’re doing.”
They’re currently working with only 10-15 companies. Samir says they’re selective because they want to ensure each client fully commits to using the system.
“Every trucking company we work with gets a custom AI recruiter solution that replies to the smallest thing: 'Do you have an API? Can I bring one or two dogs? Can I bring my truck home while I’m on vacation?'”
His vision for the future of GetDrivers.ai is to educate people and allow his platform to be available for even small companies. Unfortunately, because of the cost and procedures, right now it’s only available for those with 70-100+ trucks.
We also asked Samir for his perspective on the future of AI in trucking:
“I believe that in the next 10 years, we’ll have a lot of fully self-driving trucks. I think brokers and carriers will stay. I also don’t believe that if we continue raising the prices of equipment, insurance, etc., everyone will escape from carriers, because there are so many moving parts that can go wrong- for example, AI can’t fix a tire. I think that until we are here, there will still be jobs.”

Here's what Samir had to say on the future of the job market in freight:
“ I don’t believe that if we continue raising the prices of equipment, insurance, etc., everyone will escape from carriers. I think that until we are here, it will still be a job."

One thing they wish more brokers understood:
"1-2 years ago, brokers didn't even know there was such a report like "Freight guard", and even if they knew it was given after analyzing very carefully. However, today it's just become a habit to threaten carriers by giving a 411 report in cases when a truck/trailer has issues, or a driver has health problems. We do not think it's fair. We know the current market is upside down and brokers have the advantage, but with only one freight guard it can cut many people working at a company."
