Fraud alert: Trofeo Logistics Inc accused of double-brokering and damaging freight, leading to unpaid drivers and duped businesses.
Efficiency Logistics Group reports a fraudulent incident involving Trofeo Logistics INC, who double-brokered a freight load from Texas to Pennsylvania. Pretending to be WELS Logistics on DAT, Trofeo assigned the load to another driver for a reduced rate. Upon delivery, the freight was found damaged and Trofeo refused to pay the second driver and blocked all communication. The fraudulence was revealed when the driver's factoring company discovered that WELS never held the load.
