Freight brokers face Q4 turbulence with tariffs, the end of de minimis, an 80% USPS traffic collapse, and a proposed $85B rail merger.
Schneider National's acquisition of M&M Transport bolsters their fleet and positions them towards achieving $1.5 billion in annual revenues.
Schneider National has recently announced the acquisition of M&M Transport Services, a West Bridgewater, Massachusetts-based provider of transportation, intermodal, and logistics services. The terms of the deal have not been made public. However, this move significantly expands Schneider's service capabilities. With M&M's fleet of 500 trucks and 1,900 trailers, Schneider is now better positioned to cater to a wide range of transportation needs, primarily for the retail and manufacturing segments. This move is expected to put Schneider on the path towards generating $1.5 billion in annual dedicated contract revenues, greatly enhancing their market positioning.
Despite this acquisition, M&M will continue to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Schneider and its financial results will be reported under the truckload segment starting from the third quarter of this year.
